How to set your own default size of thumbnails?

So after I upload images I want thumbnails in the size 120x90 to be created automatically. I haven't found an option for doing this in the admin panel.
Thanks.

You set default thumbnail size by going to settings -> thumbnails.thumbnails.boxwidth/boxheight ... More about this here:

Yes, I have read the documentation there. After I change the width and height in the "Create Thumbnails" admin page, yes the thumbnails gets changed. However if I go 'out' from the thumbnails setting page and go back then the default setting of width 140 and height 105 is there. So I 'have to' change it every time since I only want to use 120x90 for my thumbnails. Also when uploading new images then the thumbnails gets in the size of 140x105 automatically as 'default'. I want the default to be 120x90 instead. It's regarding the admin page "Create Thumbnails". Maybe there is something I have missunderstood?

AHA.. I think I get it.. there is another thumbnail setting page there you set the actual default settings for the thumbnails? Will try it.
Is it possible aswell to set "Re-Create All Thumbnails" as default? I don't find that option anywhere.

That's right. There is an option in settings that sets default thumbnail resize options for automatic thumbnail creation. However, there is also the "thumbs" button which allows you to create custom thumbnails separately for each folder.

Sorry, no. This option only displays on custom thumbs page, and by default it is set to only write new thumbnails. It is not normal to over-burden your server every time by re-creating all thumbnails if they are already created! The "recreate" option is only in the few instances when you actually want to CHANGE the thumbnail size from something you had earlier - This will not be that often of course ...

I was not thinking for the server to "Re-Create All Thumbnails" - automatically, but instead just being possible to choose having "Re-Create All Thumbnails" as default for making changes faster if you would "Re-Create All Thumbnails" more often than create missing 'new' ones. Creating 'new'.. (and indirectly missing ones) does the server in the first place (automatically after you have uploaded new images).. so the option for "Re-Create All Thumbails" could be 'marked', but still let the server create 'new' and indirectly missing ones with some other option to set it either active or not - just to point out what I am trying to say, but your point make sense still.

I think there must be some misunderstanding somewhere in the setup here ...
By default, Imagevue ALWAYS creates thumbnails. By default, it also ALWAYS creates missing thumbnails. Why would you want by default to recreate ALL thumbnails in folder? The only reason this would be feasible, would be in the scenario where you make a specific-sized thumbnails for a folder, and then LATER you change your mind and want them all resized and then recreated ... How often do you change your mind on the size of thumbnails in a folder?

Ok, what you are saying sound logical to me.
Just a small side question.. Those thumbnails shown as white spaced thumbnails in the thumbnail carousel as shown here -
http://imageshack.us/f/856/thumbnailslideshow.png/
Are those actually missing thumbnail images? I believe so, but I feel like I want to be sure..

I don't know, but there is certainly something wrong or the thumbnails not are created. I would need a link to the gallery in mention to diagnose it ...

The white thumbnails appear in different folders.
Here is a link to one folder -
http://artgallerix.com/#/content/expres ... ard_munch/
Would be really nice of you if you could take a look on it.
I am not that sure if it's because of the image names though. For example this image -
http://artgallerix.com/#/content/expres ... img741.jpg (Image 168/368) in the "edvard_munch" folder is shown as a white thumbnail in the carousel. The name "img741.jpg" looks ok to me.
EDIT
It seems like I had simply missed to recreate some images... So I just went to the folder through admin and now the 'before missing' carousel thumbnail images is there since the thumbnails got created.. Now I just need to figure out how I can possibly turn of the error messages when browsing the site (not admin). But I will make another thread regarding that..
Thanks.
