Wondering regarding upgrading V2

Hello

First of all, if this is the wrong forum to post this then I am sorry.

I am thinking of upgrading my site to latest Imagevue software. I have read the documentation, however there is still one thing I wonder about which is the following:

If I make a complete successful backup of my current site. Is it then safe to say I can fix back all settings by starting a complete new clean installation of the latest imagevue and use the backup 'directly or indirectly' to fix back my current settings like descriptions, admin settings etc... Is there something I haven't thought about regarding this in which I should think about? For example, should I keep some files to make it easier for myself by then having to make less edits?

I believe that my current version that I am using for the site artgallerix.com is Imagevue 2.1.6. Having this said I don't know if the 'upgrading documentation' covers ugrading from the version that I am using.

Thanks!

Good question.

I can safely say that all your images and descriptions will conform nicely and without problems after upgrade from 2.1.6 to latest version. The only thing that might be slightly tricky, are your custom settings/theme ... You may need to adjust a few things manually in worst case scenario. Generally speaking, you can follow the guidelines in the link below, and you should be good -
