Exif file error and online access at Control panel

Hello,
it's me again
I've uploaded my gallery in a test folder in my website and the first problem I encounter is the access to control panel.
From where can I access to all the control and setup password or users? and first of all where can I login?

Then I just noted an error (in local server) about the exif file.
EXIF is a PHP extension required by Imagevue X2 to display EXIF data from photos. EXIF data is generally information about a photo stored directly in the file, most often created by the camera. It can be camera info, data as well as keywords and description. The EXIF PHP extension is usually enabled on most professional PHP server. If your server does not have this extension enabled, EXIF data from photos will not display.
What have I to do?
Thanks in advance
Lio

Did you read any of the documentation at all? Here is the quickstart guide with clear instructions on how to access your admin:
https://www.photo.gallery/documentation/quickstart-guide/

If you are missing the EXIF module, then you simply will not be able to display EXIF data for your photos, its that simple. It is not required to run the gallery ... If you need to display EXIF data for your photos, you will need to request having this installed from your server admin.

Sorry, at my age after 2 month it's easy to forget something
I have read carefully all the tutorials more than one time, but if you have memory problem and you are trying to manage an argument very difficult for you, it can happen you do not remember everything you read especially if are using a language that is not your.

However, the error is still present in the exif about the software used (I use Photoshop CS5), the brand of the camera (Canon 5D), or even it cut and puts the description as copyright. You can see here "Emozionando>fiori e colori> dettagli" for example, or here "Emozionando>animali>Amici pennuti" or "Il mio mondo> Dentro> Dopo> Basement>.

If I open all the photos in Photoshop or Bridge or Windows viewer, I read all the right information about the camera brand, the software, the copyright holder.

So I cannot understand where the problem is. It's for this reason that I had to disable the exif info 2 month ago and when the other day I uploaded the gallery, I forgot to enable it.

Thanks again.

Sorry, but it is not easy to understand the nature of your problem the way you explain it. You speak of "Emozionando>fiori e colori> dettagli" ... What is this? Perhaps it is an idea to add a link to your gallery somewhere if I am to even check this?

Please give me an exact link to the gallery-image where it display incorrect EXIF info ... Tell me what it is supposed to be. Imagevue does not change any of your EXIF data ... It simply displays it as it is stored inside your image.

Sorry, I am having problems understanding the problem ... First of all, you never included a link to your gallery. I had to check some of your other posts to figure out your gallery link. I am not telepathic!

I checked your gallery, loaded an image, and I see this:
Image
Ok, so it looks a bit peculiar but what is the problem? This is actually what is stored in your image as EXIF data ...
They are link with some of the different errors on exif....... click on Gallery
What errors?

Hi Karl, thanks for your reply.
The problem is about the this "peculiar" exif. They are like you see.
See this 3 different screen:

This is one of the right exif file fair read in the gallery.

Image

This is an exif file in the gallery

Image

and this the same exif in different program (Photoshop, Exif reader, Lightroom) and as you see online in the gallery.

Image

All the pictures are made by me, with my Canon, my "copyright" name is BigBear.

I cannot understand from where the hell ImageWiew takes that data.
It's like ImageView took all the data and mixes them.

I know that my english is poor, but it seems to me to be enough understandable. Anyway, if you cannot solve the problem, I have to disable all the exif file because they are not the real exif.

For the link, you are reason, I have not pasted here the real link because I have disabled the useswfaddress.

Do you sill have imagevue on your site? I am unable to find it.

Could you please send some of those images to me? You can attach them to a blog post for example. Need to check what's going on exactly with exif data.

Good morning Nick!
The gallery seems to be normally accessible. You can download the pictures directly from the gallery or here some direct link

http://www.liosite.com/Test/FINALE/Port ... _14998.jpg

http://www.liosite.com/Test/FINALE/Port ... _14999.jpg

http://www.liosite.com/Test/FINALE/Port ... _15006.jpg

http://www.liosite.com/Test/FINALE/Port ... ss_114.jpg

In the first one you can see in the exif online
Brand: o
undefined (in orange)
Exposure: 0.000 sec (1000000/1)
Aperture: f/0.0
Focal Lenght: 74099370.7 mm
Software: Il mio "dove"
In the picture on my PC (the downloaded one not the original one) in Windows viewer there is:
Camera maker: Canon
Camera model: Canon Eos 5D Digital
F-stop: f/4
Focal lenght: 17mm
Exposure-time: 1/5000 sec.
Authors: ©BigBear;
Subject: Dentro e fuori
Comments: Prima e dopo
Tags: Casa; ricordi; Italia; Canada; passato; presente;
Title: Il mio "dove"
And this is the problem: only in ImageView the exif changes both in local and online.

Thanks
Lio

I have good news and bad news.

Good news is I actually made Imagevue to display exif correctly:

Image

But unfortunately I had to re-save the file from Photoshop. It actually complained about metadata too:

Image

So this is not exactly Imagevue's fault, the metadata in images are not entirely correct and has to be re-saved.

Hi nick!
so, what does it mean?
Where the error is? In my camera? in Photoshop?
There is something that I can do to correct the problem? Or my only choice is to close down the exif files in the gallery?

Thanks for your help
Lio

That means that metadata in your images do not fully adhere to the standarts. And they got to be fixed. Did you use anything to edit metadata in files prior to upload?

If so, consider changing the editor. If you got the images this way directly from the camera - the problem might be in the camera's firmware. In that case use something like Photoshop to scale and save images.

A good idea might be a viewer like xnview.com which can read and write metadata.
