Imagevue flash graphics

15 Sep 2011, 05:24

I was wondering, with next releases to have a folder with all graphics for the flash version in a folder, so lets say I would like to change every graphics to my own, then I would just edit the files in that folder. Or is this already possible, I know it is possible for the html version but I would like to be able to edit for the flash too.

Exactly what graphics are you thinking of? There are not really many graphics in the flash version ... You have the small icons, and they are vector format ...

A html version is more flexible and I guess our ultimate goal would be to have a html version (jQuery, CSS3, html5) that is as cool as the flash version, but with the flexibility and platform compatibility of Html.

That sounds really exciting the jquery, css3 and html5. I was just thinking about the buttons for the flash version, having different icons for them and so on. And also change the default thumbnail icons, .fla .pdf and so on.

Glad you like the idea. A modern Html version is surely the way to guarantee flexibility and compatibility with future devices.

You cannot currently change the icons for buttons, but you can change thumbnail icons. Simply navigate to iv-includes/images/thumbs/, and you will see the default graphic icons. Simply change any of these icons ...

This will be a gradual process ... We will not simply ditch the flash version, because you simply cannot provide the fluidness and all the features of the flash gallery. However, as we have mentioned earlier, we will be focusing on mobile versions and a brand new html version (and the html version will be a combo of html, css3 and jquery of course). In next release, we already hope to have a much improved html version, but doubtfully a full-fledged replacement for the flash gallery ... However, perhaps in the release after we are talking of a html version cool enough to compete with the flash gallery?
