I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this?

Could we possibly use gallery embedded in HTML and control it via external menu?

Would appreciate any info on this one.

Yes, you can control Imagevue with your own menu may it be Mootools or anything else. You would simply embed the SWF gallery, and then you can use links like this in your menu: You would need to build your menu manually though, although it would be technically possible to build it dynamically from the Imagevue scripts ...
