My gallery was hacked recently, some exploit has been injected to the script. In the first place I've replaced the script with backup copy, then I went to imagevue website seeking for newer version. Bingo imagevue.x2.7.5 ready for download.
I've uploaded the newer version to my site and what I see in the first place? Advertisement...
How can I get rid of it? I don't want money from imagevue for displaying their advert - I just don't want to display their advert on my gallery.
I can understand adverts on a free product - just to encourage user to buy the full/commercial version, but I've paid for my copy of imagevue. What else should I do to do not see the advert? Do I need to pay an additional advert-free licence or version?
Every recent version of imagevue scrip comes with new - completely unwanted surprise. 2.6 needs to "authorize" the domain name/gallery address where I don't need anybody's acceptance of my private network resources. 2.7 against common standards displaying adverts on something that by definition was not purchased and presented to be an advert carrier.
Moreover, for a second my firewall detected that 2.7 version want me to connect some stats website without my knowledge and permission.
Dear Imagevue crew, please stop playing big brother.
Regards,
Peter
