Hello,

On my website, I've 4 galeries which use Imagevue. I've updated from version 2.6.4 to 2.7.4.

3 of them have the following issue : I don't have the thumbnails (previewimage) displaying in menu anymore.

This issue is still there despite :
- the theme
- the setting : I've force it out and on again, the problem is still there.

I had already this issue with 2.7.0, and I put the older version back, hopping a new release would solve the issue.

Do you have any idea ?

Do you have a preview image actually defined from the admin for your folders?

I will gladly look into this, but you need to provide a link to your gallery ...

Yes I have a preview image configured for each of them. I'm the only admin.

If you need an unprotected picture galery, let me know. I'll configure one existing.

Well, your folders are password protected, and it won't display preview images from password protected folders ... This was something we integrated in a recent release after many requests.

Well... Not nice for me !

We should have the choice in my opinion. It feels "naked" without any illustration pictures. As it is possible to choose in menu, I don't really understand the point of removing it completely.

There is 2 way to implement this choice I think :
* In settings menu : something like "don't display password protected preview images"
* For each folder, an option "display preview picture"

What do you think about ? How much effort would that be ?

I'm in fact pretty sad not to have my pictures anymore.

Ok, I'll add this setting in next release ...

By default, it will be off because when people choose to make a folder private and protected, then the primary target should be to protect all the folder content including any preview image.

Many many thanks. I've no problem if deactivated by default if I can have it back !

BTW : "Problem" solved... I've probably missed it in change log.

Sorry, this is just not something we have been wanting to add because we needed to make a choice if content of password protected folder was truly protected or not. Sorry!

That was almost 3 months ago, but basically let me re-phrase:

# When user makes password for a folder, they want to protect it. Somebody already pointed out some time ago: "hey I can still see preview image from a folder I protected" ... So, we therefore had to add full-on protection for folders, so thumbnail in menu will not display for a protected folder. Sorry.
