Password failure

Hi everybody
I have just dowloaded the latest 2.7 beta, but I have noticed a BIG problem related to password protected folder.
The password mentionned works fine, and a box appears each time I want to access protected folders.

The problem is that the password does not seem to work with subfolders used as "Link" :? while it does with text page and folder mods. I have created a specific folder to show my problem.

Just go to the gallery and try to open the subfolder "imagevue" in my "private galleries" folder (the password does not matter). It contains a subfolder set in Link mod called "Password protected link", you will see that you can follow the link even if you did not enter the correct password, just because it appears in the menu after closing the password box.
Here's the link :http://www.nicolashodee.com/galerie/ind ... ge=english
Hope your help or advices because I did not noticed this problem elsewhere in forums.

Or may could you show us a way to hide protected-folder's content in main menu ? Even if the password box have been closed (for instance, by someone who does not know the password)

Regards.

Well, a "folder password" is a password that protects a folder. They do not protect from clicking anything in the main menu, and does not protect the end-link unless you have protected that separately. The password in Imagevue actually only pops up when the gallery tries to load a folder that is protected ... not before. In the case of a link, it is not actually loading anything into Imagevue, just opening a link.

I could easily add password protection to links though ... Why not? I will have it done in a few days ...

Actually, having looked into this, I can't add password to a menu link. Why? Because as explained above, passwords are for protecting content. If I set a password on clickable menu link, it will first display the password dialog box, and then AFTER it will try to open the link. This will create browser problems, because there are security features in browsers that make sure that links are initiated by user clicks. If we have to open a password dialog first, then the click will be nulled. The browser will normally display a warning similar to this: "The website is trying to open a link. Click here to allow this".

Well, never mind. I'll use textpages to display links mentionned above.
Thanks very much for having given a look at this, so quickly =), on a sunday besides.

Keep the good work :)
Best regards.
