Integration with SWF

I am working to embed a couple of SWF files using FileMod and Custom. The one SWF doesn't play -- it uses xml and css and an image directory. The other SWF file causes an error and the whole flash site goes down. I have been testing a friend's site for hours and have given up. Would someone please enlighten me on the intricacies of setting up SWF files using filemod?
(I have read the brief documentation over and over again without any insight.)

Imagevue is AS2.0, and I don't think you can use AS3.0 files in Imagevue. Also, for files that load external data/files, you need to place the external data relative to the gallery root.

I did try everything--everything--except re-exporting with AS2 settings. Are there so many enhancements between AS2 and 3? Hopefully this may work. I will check later tonight and report.
Thanks for the support guys! Love the product! My friend now wants to start a photography gallery of his own now.

I get some major errors trying to publish using AS2 vs AS3.
The only solution is using an AS2 to AS3 bridge:
ActionScript-Bridge-91.
Has anyone used this before? Anyone savvy and wish to help me edit an FLA file? Will buy you lunch! =)

Another useful Bridge.
Would you fine gents be able to add a feature in the next rev to be able to communicate between AS2 and AS3? I'd hate to lose the functionality of a few files already written for AS3. Please let us know if this is possible.
Love and peace.

Unfortunately, this is not up to us. SWF files exported as AS3.0 simply will not work when loaded in AS2.0 SF. This has something to do with the Flash player itself. I assume those bridge tools you have are desktop tools that actually convert the code inside the SWF from one version to another. Imagevue SWF can not perform such operations.
Maybe one day we will convert to AS3.0
