2.7 will be released within the end of this month, preferably sooner than later. Updates will be e-commerce, dedicated horizontal menu, and dozens of minor fixes and features for the gallery and admin in general. Guestbook will be either 2.7 or 2.8, sorry cannot confirm. 2.8 (if we call it that) will be a huge release focused on new dedicated platforms for iphone/smartphones and new html version.

That is some great news, I love the imagevue gallery and looking forward to the guestbook feature I've always wanted comments on images though kinda like on picsengine
http://www.picsengine.com/ do you think that would be possible in any future updates?

I couldn't find comments on picsengine demo, but maybe I need to check some other demos. Personally, I believe Imagevue would be too limited for commenting because of the interface style. Comments would appear in some toolbox triggered by some some button, and I don't see bulk of visitors using this tedious interface for adding comments. Comments/threads are proven to be most efficient in blog-type listings, and like flickr, youtube and picasa do it simply with lots of space vertically for comments and scrolling.
Guestbook gets my vote, but I am not so positive to image-comments in Imagevue.

Will you be offering a free update to 2.7 and 2.8 for the 2.6 users? What is your policy in regards to the updates?
Thank you

Yes. Free.
Future releases of separate gallery modules may have a different upgrade policy, but we do not have any defined strategy in this area yet (just a bunch of cool ideas). Our main concern is to update Imagevue X2 into it's full potential.
