Has anyone had the problem I am having with Internet Explorer 7's inability to display my gallery? I checked the add-ons section and found that Shockwave and all the necessary plugins were installed and enabled. Hey, it worked when I had version 5. The new Firefox browser has no problems- This problem isn't cool. I mean, I couldn't figure out how to make it work and most people will just go away instead of fight with the almighty Microsoft, who believes in it's arrogance that it is always right. Anybody know the settings to adjust to make Imagevue display? I dread the idea of going through MS bs to ask why this is a problem and if they can fix it. Shouldn't have to.

I'm getting the same thing at all ImageVue links: www.photo.gallery imagevue gallery module text display is all that appears on the screen. Other Flash programs are behaving differently, like having to click on a Flash menu to enable the mouse overs to work (an alt message to click on this to get it to work appears). Yes, other Flash is appearing. This renders many menu items hard to understand. Anyway, the issue is that ImageVue isn't displaying in IE7 on my machine, no matter what I do. I have enabled all previously working plug-ins, including Shockwave and Flash...I've requested a response from MS on this, as well as submitted forum help on their website for the not at all cool browser. I thought it must be some setting that I have not been able to find...I don't like the idea of having to prompt people on how to get into my gallery...it's too complicated and I've yet to discover the method to the madness

REALLY? So you can see ImageVue 17? I'm using ImageVue 17 and spent way too much time trying to unravel the MS problem so I just defauted back to Firefox. They sent me a canned answer to make me work to find a solution but I'm not into it.

Makes me uneasy to think that some of the installations do not work correctly. And yours did work on ImageVue? Must be some settings within the browser that I cannot find.

Still, on my box, ImageVue 17 is not displaying through IE7. MS had futile recommendations- canned answers or use the fourms to figure out a fix. I tried the MS recommended IE6 work-around without results. I've posted my frustrations both here and on the MS forum and gotten no other viewers response with the same problem. I have gotten a LOCAL response from a friend, that I had sent an email gallery link to- the link did not work- no details on why. I tried System Restore and couldn't revert to the previous browser. "www.photo.gallery imagevue gallery module", the text that appears within the screen is all that displays. I have removed the Internet Explorer 7 as my default browser (not a solution). I am now using IE7 to post to this forum so why can I not view the ImageVue pages with it anymore? Guess I should have started a poll...

Apparently there's a bug in the new IE7 that prevents changing the Security Settings and java script permissions. I went through every possible scenario and opened all the available security levels and stil got no ImageVue to display...

I emulated the same scenario in Firefox by disabling scripts through add-on of "ScriptBlocker". The same text display appeared in Firefox as did in IE7...the difference was that I was able to gain control of the display. There was a bug in Firefox though that I had to fix to enable the download and installation of plug-ins. I'm lost as to a fix with IE7...NOTHING worked.

IE7's bug apparently comes from the fact that I did not have version 6 when I upgraded and the security settings are not able to be changed...that's the only thing I can think of because none of the settting changes that were applied stuck. Every time I applied security settings, they were ignored for some reason. THAT'S A BUG....apparently one of many in IE7.

Exactly. That is the problem. You enable all the settings for scripts and still come up with a blank page. Nothing new for me to report. I gave up using the browser or trying to fix it. Firefox had a security bug too (actually admitted it) but I was able to troubleshoot and fix it through their forum help. Apparently not enough ImageVue users have made enough noise for MS to pay attention. There's got to be similar bugs in the IE7 security settings that were present in Firefox, which prevent ImageVue from displaying- or enabling settings to get it to work BUT getting MS to help you fix the problem seems impossible...One suggestion...

MAKE NOISE TO dumbass MS browser development! Those of you who have a working browser and have put ImageVue up on your website: Be aware that there's a percentage of viewers with IE7 which cannot see your images! Take action against arrogance of MS and stop being so apathetic. The problem is real!
