Textpage overlay bug also in demo on imagevue

Hi, there is a bug that I thought was only on my gallery. But it is also on the demo of imagevue.
The bug is in internal links, when you click the textpage stays on stage so the internal site goes over the textpage.
I send a screenshot I made so you see what I mean.

I'm afraid I can't reproduce this. Every time I click any of the internal links, the textpage removes itself before the thumbnails or image appear. Please could you CLEAR your browser cache, as it could be you are loading an older SWF on a new system.

Also, can anyone else please check this? Go here:
https://www.photo.gallery/demo/x2/#/content/ ... ges/links/

Click either of the links in the text, and check if the textpage removes. Thanks!

Hi,
thanks for the reply, you were right, after clearing the browser's cache it works correctly :-)
But is there a way of clearing the cache on the gallery to force change with a button? Because having to tell the visitor to clear his browser's cache is difficult.

This is related to your browser cache, and not the "gallery cache" in any way. Any new visitors you have, will be loading the latest SWF anyway. If there are some visitors re-visiting your site, then there is a chance that they may be loading a cached SWF file, but personally I have never seen this issue or heard of it from anyone else. The only thing you could do if you are "paranoid", is rename "imagevue2.swf" to "imagevue3.swf", and edit iv-includes/index.gallery.phtml to reflect the new file name. This will make sure the latest SWF is loaded from your site.

OK, thanks a lot for the tip :-) I'll do that when it happens again. But just to note this is the first time this is happening, that I notice this. I have been reuploading a couple of times, but it is good to know about the renaming if it happens again :-)

The bug seems to be when logged in the admin. Because when I log in this bug appears but once logged out it works correctly. I have at least tried this a couple of times. By the way I'm using Opera 11.01. I have only seen this happen there. Am I wrong or are others having the same bug?

FYI
I have tried this also in the demo of imagevue. Try to login to the admin and try internal links while logged in. And then logout and try the same. This seems to only be a bug in Opera, have tried it in firefox no problem there, also tried IE8 works like charm in both browsers it seems to only be a bug in Opera, when logged in, so maybe it doesn't matter that much, because it won't be a problem for the viewers, because they won't be logged in :-) Just wanted to report this anyway.
It seems to be workin in fullscreen mode in Opera even though logged in.

I have tried this in Opera, and can not re-produce the bug. Opera has some strong caching features, and I still think it may be related. There is no logic with the bug appearing when logged in, because there is absolute zero difference in the imagevue gallery when being logged in or not.

The only thing that I could think of is the bar at the top, when logged in. I have also tried this on various of computers and using Opera, it is quite strange that this happens on them all. Is there a code in .htaccess to disable cache on the swf file?
Has anybody else been able to try it in Opera and been able to het this bug?

To the flash, it makes absolutely no difference at all with the admin bar at the top because it does not react to this. To the SWF, it would just be as if the stage is a bit smaller, and as you know, the SWF displays on all kinds of stage sizes anyway.

I have the same problem. I only bought the software today and within an hour created the problem outlined in this topic. I am using Opera 11.10.

No matter if i clear the cache of Opera or Flash, it doesn't solve the problem. Solution? Logout of admin! As again outlined above, the problem only occurs when logged into admin. I don't think it has anything to do with the cache.

Question to the person above who said after clearing cache it fixed the problem was that because you wasn't logged in? Is it still okay even when you login.

The bug isn't too much of a problem, the software is great, glad I purchased. I just thought I would confirm what the others are experiencing. :)

If you would like some screenshots or some tests carried out then by all means ask.

Nic.

I wouldn't mind seeing link ... there was only one person experiencing this earlier, and it was seemingly solved by fixing some issue with his cache.
