Regarding Imagevue X2.6 ...

My apologies to those of you who were expecting Imagevue X2.6 release for Christmas. Unfortunately, because X2.5 had many loose ends, and because this time of the year became more hectic than predicted, this was simply not possible. Imagevue X2.6 is scheduled for 20th January ...

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!

Thanks for the update, Karl... and merry x'mas to you~

P.S. Can features still be requested to incorporate into 2.6? I don't mean to hijack this topic but that request would be to allow for a way to display "latest gallery photos" on a website's homepage, derived from the photo gallery. I have a community website and it would be nice to have content from the gallery placed on the homepage...

Basically, you want to be able to set your START page to view your latest photos? ... or perhaps your latest folder?

You can already do this of course by changing the startpath setting to your new folder.

... or perhaps you want to display latest photos, even when they are spread around multiple folders? This would be more of a technical challenge, because Imagevue basically reads folders. It would require setting up some kinda "smart" virtual folder, that basically mirrors photos from within a certain data range.

Unfortunately, this is out of scope for version 2.6, but I would be open to discuss it for 2.7. Gotta see what Nick says about this ...

It actually might be possible in some sort of way, but I am concerned about performance drop on big galleries. Guess have to try it to see. I'll add to the list.

Hello ! :)

No need to excuse yourself - I personally didnt expect a xmas release as holiday periods are generally unpredictable for time schedules :) It's cool you plan it for january, and I've got a question to the scope of 2.6 - is there some kind of "List of features confirmed for 2.6"? I couldnt find anything like this yet ... ?

Anyway - excellent job! Relax, enjoy the holidays, and a happy new year 2011!!!

Just a bunch of bugfixes, everything that has been reported in forums and emails since the last release. We will compile a list bit later, sorry about that.

I was wondering is it possible to change the video player skin, in stead of using the default?

You can download the latest version here:

There is no beta 2.6 yet though, but there is a version 2.5.3, that was released January 20th

Is there a date when 2.6 will be released? Or a to be expected features list?
