Can't save the settings / Javascript error yello triangle

Hello,
I'm not the first I believe but when I try to save my settings then I get a white screen and if I'm going back to my setting page the settings reappear again. When I change my config.xml with the editor and upload this with FTP to my domain, then the changes are taken into account.
I have changed the permissions from the directory/files to 777. But doesn't help.
I have a javascript error as well "yahoo widget bar is empty or not object".
I have read some other topics but that doesn't give me the answer. What can it be? Can somebody help me with stupped error?
