Sounds to me like you are already doing what I suggest. You can simply create your own thumbnails for SWF files. For example, if you have "animation.swf", you can create a thumbnail tn_animation.jpg that represents this file. This file will normally be created automatically based on the generic graphic, unless you create your own of course. Sie for thumbnails? That is up to you, but a good idea would be to use the same size/format as the other thumbnails in your gallery, or at least this folder? Optionally, if you only have a few files, why not create relatively big thumbnails like 150x100 or 100x150 ... or 100x100 for a standard square size. Of course AS3.0 would be preferred, but right now I think we need to put some time into new features instead of rebuilding the core. Future unique releases will definitely be AS3.0
Header and footer ... yea good suggestion. I am just trying to figure out how we could realistically add something flexible like this to imagevue that could easily be populated by the gallery owner.
