HTML or Flash?

08 Jul 2010, 17:55

If i want a Google friendly picture site using imagevuex, do i go for the HTML version or Flash?

Is imagevuex a good solution at all for this?
I want the site to be easy to crawl, easy to index, easy to link etc. for Google.

The HTML version would certainly be more Google friendly ... But you won't easily be getting into Google for every picture in your gallery anyway, so I don't see why this is very important.

I wouldn't argue that there may be better solutions in terms of visibility on Google. I don't know what they will look like though ...

Imagevue on it's own will give you limited SEO visability, even with the current HTML side. For best SEO results wrap it up in a WordPress (or similar) environment.

GPP has great Flash Friendly themes.

Imagevue looks GREAT embedded within a "wide page" template in most of the GPP themes.

Another option is to simply run a blog along side your Flash gallery and cross link the two. You could do the same with a photo sharing site.
