I have recently started using this software and find it very useful however I have had some head banging-problems with image titles and descriptions not saving and then these delete the gallery title - I was going round in circels and I couldn't figure out why but I have got to the bottom of it.

When you upload your images, ensure that the filename has no spaces in it - simple !!!!

I have trawled the forum but am unable to find anyone else who has had the same problem - so is it just me? I also cannot find anything in the documentation regarding protocol for filenames - have I missed it? Is there a fix regarding this which can be introduced during the next version update or tweek which may prevent other users having the same problems as I have had - I would be interested to find out!

While we always tell people to upload files with plain latin letters and no spaces in reality it affects Imagevue not every time. This is depending on some factors like hosting platform, filesystem encoding etc, for some people it works with spaces in filenames, for some doesn't.

But. In the latest version if you upload files using Imagevue uploader and file is having suspicious characters, they will be replaced so they won't break XML.

Say you upload "My Travels; 1992.jpg" it will land as "My_Travels__1992.jpg" and so on. The original filename will be stored in image title so you won't loose anything.
