Regarding your gallery.....

Gallery loads very fast for me, almost as quick as mine.
I like your photography, not so sure about the two-tone background though. Will visit the site again when you have uploaded more pictures.

I agree with carter2 ... There is something wrong with your background. You are using the default theme, which uses a bitmap gradient at the top, which eventually fades into a solid background color. By default, this is seamless, but since you have changed the background color, the bitmap gradient at the top looks out of place. Either disable the background image, or set the background color back to the lighter gray ... (or create your own background image that syncs with your custom background color).

The rest of your gallery is all good, especially the photos!

Oh one more thing perhaps ... You are using RED color in the main controls and BLUE color in the menu. I think blur or red creates a nice contrast from the dark background, but I would recommend consolidating to a single color froma design perspective.
