Well I did some experimenting with the settings yesterday at daytime...

Should be fine now

Im gonna be honest with you - Your photos are stunning, but I don't like the background, or the menu so much. Too many lines, and chunky stuff going on at the top - I would go for something more "mellow" to complement your awesome photography.

Well...the present look on my homepage is a result of few days work trying to make it look nice and balanced with both larger and smaller screen resolutions.

The background image...There ´s something about lines coming and going, fading in and out. Don ´t know what it is but I like it ! The top of the screen on the other hand...now that you said it I think you are right. There ´s too much stuff and it ´s too "heavy". It was meant to frame the page somehow but it maybe that I failed ! Have to take a closer look into it...

The menu...I ´ve been thinking of making the menu bacground just plain, without those horizontal lines that separate menu items (button frames). Maybe that would calm down the appereance.

PS: Or maybe it ´s just the infamous Finnish/Nordic design that just doesn ´t work for the rest of the world
