Menu overlap

27 Jan 2010, 10:51

Hello guys,

I did a search and found a thread similar to my problem but I don't quite understand it.

Basically my menu and image is somewhat overlapping (I didnt want to hide the menu) so when you view an image the "Previous" button which is on the left side of the image got blocked by the menu.

The thread I found is this viewtopic.php?p=18888f

I tried exploring every width option on themes settings and also looking into theme stylesheet but I couldn't understand what the thread is saying.

What I've done currently is removing opacity of the menu so it doesn't overlap visually but clicking the "<" or "Previous" button is impossible.

Is there a way to minimize the width of gallery menu or other workaround?

Cheers!
JL

You need to go to Admin, select Themes, select the theme you are using, then scroll to many settings...

menu.mainmenu.menuitem.minimum_width ... Set it to 0, and it will minimize.

All this depends on your settings, your screen size, and the image size.

By default, the menu is set to COLLAPSE to top left so that it doesnt interfere overlapping images until the visitor is actually using it. It sounds like you have set the menu to display static on left without collapsing? If you choose that, it will obviously be at the cost of overlapping images, or you will have to increase the image margins of course so that images may display smaller ...
