Hello, when I type the name of my website : "audience33" in google, it results on another imagevue gallery. this one :http://www.marcoie.com/
Have you any Idea why.

What can I do to change it, and what should I do to be properly referenced ?

Thanks
For info my website is www.audience33.com

Your site does show in the results (for me) on the second page.

Best guess is that "Imagevue Gallery" appears in your site title (in the browser header), so google is associating your site with others showing "Imagevue Gallery" in the site title.

I would recommend removing that from your site title.

Now I do find it very weird that "marcoie.com" is on no.1 spot for search "audience33" in google, because I can't figure out what that site has on common with that keyword. Then again, I dont know what "audience33" means (its not really a word, even if you remove the number), and google works in mysterious ways ...

However, there are certainly ways to get your site higher in that ranking - I currently found your site on page 2.

# The most important issue you need to deal with, is to go to admin -> settings and change your Site Title from "imagevue Gallery" to "Audience33" or anything similar with that phrase in it. TITLE is the most important factor for google, and you are using a generic imagevue term.

# Additionally, you could go to imagevue/templates/index.gallery.phtml and edit some of the text inside the <div id="na"> tag ... Add some text about your site, including the phrase "audience33". This will compliment the above.

# There are some other issues with your site that may be affecting the way google perceives it: #1 You are using a FORWARD on the entry page - This forward the user away from the startpage to the gallery page. At best, google will not index any data from the original splash-page, including title. #2 I tried to access your domain here http://audience33.com/ , but it says page not found and only works if you add "www". This is kinda weird, especially since the page has a good pagerank but no content. Not sure if this affects google in any way, but I would be suspicious ...

You should be able to set that yourself if you have control panel or similar.

I dont really see any reason to have that splash page, especially since you are just auto forwarding the visitor. They dont get to see anything, and google wont pick up any data from this page either since you are forwarding ... Just takes longer time and scrutinizes your URL.

Regarding audience33.com, yes I would ask them why it doesnt work. I am not really familiar with the technical side of this issue, but normally with all my domains, they work with both www and without.

I think it's actually is a word:

audience
noun
1 the audience applauded: spectators, listeners, viewers, onlookers, patrons; crowd, throng, congregation, turnout; house, gallery.
2 the radio station has a teenage audience: market, public, following, fans; listenership, viewership.
3 an audience with the Pope: meeting, consultation, conference, hearing, reception, interview; informal meet-and-greet.

wahhhhhhhhhhh, Pain !!! your knowledge of the English language is almost as good as my Chinese.... bravo !! BUT I don't think you'll find "Audience33" in the dictionary ??? so Gooooooooooogle will still reference it, they have some VERY clever BOTS working their bots off ( sorry for the pun...) they know and reference SinaStudio as well as Sina Studio... They also know SofTones and Softones... my SofTones comes from 1971, I played much country music, hence the "Tones" later about DOS 3 time (1980 ish) I ported much music to the PC and used a "mod" programme to get it onto floppies and sold it worldwide, hence the "Sof" I missed the second "t" off because it looked stupid.. so it became "SofTones" ( thought I'd enlighten you because many people call me "Soft Ones" and it pisses me off somewhat !!) But CLEVER Gooooogle knows how to list it....
