Can't upload pictures from MAC OS X

11 Nov 2009, 04:11

Hi

I've tried to upload picture with several browsers, Opera, Firefox and Safari from my Snow Leopard MAC OS X, and error comes out for 2 seconds, "Server error IO" and stops uploading. If I upload from Windows in a different computer it works fine, so the problem comes with the OS. I've tried it in two different computers with MAC OS X Snow Leopard and both of them give me the same error. The point is before install Snow Leopard the uploading worked properly.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Uhm. Checking to give you the details, I've tried upload a picture again and now it works fine. So, I was wrong and the problem maybe came from the server.

Thanks anyway.

Hi again. I was wrong on last post. The error still there. But, the point is the error doesn't happen in all folders, just some of them.

I'l give you the access admin by mp.

Could you please PM it to me instead:

1. Link to your site
2. Detailed description: which images you upload, what folders don't work
3. Login to Imagevue Control Panel
4. Ftp login

Thank you.

I was just wondering if this issue has been solved. I work on a pc, but my friend who also uploads pictures to our gallery is on a mac and I believe is having the same issue. I upload the pictures fine, but she gets an error with even trying to upload just one picture.

Please make sure you have the latest version and provide us with the links including Imagevue Control Panel credentials, we're barely able to resolve this just by guessing unfortunately.

Those multiple file uploaders are some tricky business, but most likely it's related to some server settings.

Also SWFUpload guys are testing 2.5 beta right now, so once they release it, we'll update Imagevue too.

Server IO error!

07 Dec 2009, 16:55

Hi! I just have released the same problem while uploading from MAC. It is UNIX based OS and just don't like folders named with spaces: ie /something wrong/... This phenomena has been giving the same problem when I tried to upload from MAC but not from the PC. So I only renamed folder like this .../somethingwrong/ and now everything is alright. I hope it will help.

Yep - correct. I use SL 10.6.2 also and folder names with spaces are not working - just dont use spaces and you should be OK

I have the same problems all of a sudden. I re-chomoded to 777 to see if that helped and it does not. This was not like this in April of 2009 as I was able to upload to these folders.

Basically, I am able to upload to folders withOUT spaces, but with any spaces I am not able to upload anymore. The images themselves can have spaces in them. This is a bit frustrating as my folders require spaces in them. A temporary fix is to upload them to a folder without spaces and then move them manually the correct folders but this is a lot of work.

Why not rename folders without spaces but keep spaces in titles.
Gotta tell you that in next version this will be done automatically.

Also just tested, works fine in current dev version. Case closed.
