Text Page Text Block Size

21 Sep 2009, 18:46

Could someone please point me in the direction of how to increase the physical size so I can fit more text in.

I've seen featured sites with larger text areas, and although i've searched here cant see any pointers?

I could do with it being about 25% larger all round than the default.

Cheers

Julian

You can go to admin -> theme -> edit your theme -> textpage.width. This changes the width of your textpage.

Height of the textpage is already adapted to the content. If there is overflow of content, scrollbars are created. There will always be a minimum margin between the textpage top and screen top, just so it looks nice. However, you can also change that margin, which is by default set to 60 alongside the setting noted above.

Thanks for the quick response - and I've got all text to fit on a new size now.

You know, I had no idea that what appeared to me to be a shadow to the right of the text box was a scrollbar - any way of making it more obvious?

Sorry - I see this issue has been covered elsewhere.

Yes, you can change the color of the scrollbar from theme settings. Also in the NEW release 2.1.5, there are arrow icons on the scrollbar to make it more obvious as a scrollbar.
