Header on top of gallery

16 Sep 2009, 08:49

How can I define a header in imagevuexV2 that is always on top of the gallery and the main menu - please take a look at the example "http://www.lucadifilippo.com"
Here the header can never be overlyed by the image shown in the main area - like in the example of my website http://www.westausgang.de - if you make the window very small, the image in the main area will overlay my header.

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Dunno, looks to me like the same happens in both links on the startpage.

Keep in mind, this only happens with your startpage filemod though - If you go to any gallery/image by clicking a folder, you will see the image or thumbnails resize to always keep a margin so your logo is visible.

Why is this? Because all FILEMODS are just custom features where the gallery simply loads an external feature. It is not capable like the slideshow itself to resize images to fit within margins. It will laod and display almost anything flash compatible, but it will not change the size properties of it.

We may consider some solutions for this in future releases, but for now I think your option is to keep your startimage small perhaps, or change location of text or logo.

You are right Karl - it ´s just the filemod - and as well the textpage or contactform which overlay the logo.

For future releases although it would be nice, if auto-resize would work as well for filemod. For now resizing my filemod pictures to smaller works.

One more thing - how do you create a margin for the main menu from the top of the page? I could not find that....

Thanks for your reply!

O.K. found it out by myself :idea:

In order to set the vertical margin for the main menu you need to do the following:

Go to Admin -> "Themes" -> "edit theme"
Go to "menu" -> "Mainmenu" -> "vertical_margin"

Here you can control the margin to the top of the stage!
