Textpage missing description and first part of content

OK, I found that I needed a <textformat leading="[height of image]"> to make the image and text work together. So the missing text from the beginning of content section now appears.
I guess the "description" isn't intended to appear because it doesn't appear in the provided textpage example. Can someone tell me what the Description is for?

I can see why the "description" field is confusing, but allow me to explain.
All folder items have descriptions that appear in the tooltip. Some items(like standard gallery items), also display the description above the thumbnails. For textpages, the description is not part of the textpage itself, but it is still the text that may appear in a tooltip when rolling over a menu item for that textpage.
