News module

Hello,
i just wondered if you thought about a News Module. A module which you could use as a start page to display images - thumbnails and text on a side with a scroler so that you can scroll between the news/dates. People like such things especially they like to know about updates on the website. I tried to implement a 3rd party news module but imagevue does not like it

Actually we had some thoughts about dynamic modules like 'new images etc', but right now they're nowhere near completion, or, even better, near startage.
We will start looking into those modules after revamping gallery abit.

Of course we are open to all suggestions, although everything is within priorities and time. I do wonder what you effectively mean by "news module" though ... I am imagining something that simply looks like a textpage, and can ´t see how we can streamline that to a news module which has that many further advantages ...

What I meant was:
news so that i can create entry with a thubnail and text saying for example: New picture added in the portrait section..... click the thumbnail to enter the gallerry
thumbnail should have a pre-loader

Can ´t you just append newsitems to the top of your NEWS textpage?

how large image you gonna use? something that fits in a textpage hardly needs a preloader ...
and perhaps you were thinking of some news navigation also, with:

I would prefer to use my default size of thumbnail - w100h200 which would link to the big photo in gallery. the navigation yes - like you described - with arrows or dates. If you can implement a RSS to that it would be incredible fantastic.
