Hi Ryan,
I think you're looking at the difference between Imagevue X1 and Imagevue X2.
X2 has the flash pulldown menu on the left hand side by default as well as a series of other new functions.
To get the X2 look, I think you would be best to install X2 and then customise a new theme to look like your existing site.
There's lots of documents available elsewhere on the site on how to set up X2.
