slideshow speed button

09 Sep 2009, 12:34

Hi everyone!
Didn't want to start a new topic, and as this is a suggestion connected to slideshow I thought I would post it here:
a think a very nice tweak will be adding an option to fine tune slideshow speed by viewer- what I mean is- a button SLOW / NORMAL / FAST slideshow speed.... As of now the speed is only set in the admin panel, and sometimes when viewing a lot of photos, such feature is useful. Thank you, hope you will consider this small "upgrade" in your to do list :)

See the 'feedback' tab to the left? Use it! This way we can at least be sure that the most demanded features wont drift away with time.

Nick, I do see it and I did use it...as 2 of "my" suggestions are in top five...Anyway, this one also "went" there. Thanks again and keep up the good work.
Best regards, George

In regards to tweaking the slideshow interval while playing, did you try to click the +/- buttons on your keyboard? They control the interval ...

Hi Karl,
thanks for the tip, I didn't know that, and I am a gallery user for quite a time :) It does the job, but is quite hidden and not quite user friendly. Mr.X who comes to the site might not have read the manual. Anyway, I know this is something small and was just a suggestion, dunno- a slider over the time icon...if not the buttons slow/normal/fast. I see you have already thought about that, but I didn't see it and sure most people haven't. Thanks again, hope the work over the major upgrades is going well!
Have a great day, George

Yes of course you are right - mr. average does not know about this keyboard shortcut. We will of course consider additional methods, and this has been brought up earlier also.

The only thing we also must consider, is keeping the gallery clean. We get a lot of requests, which if added, would clutter the entire gallery interface, which is one of the key aspects of our gallery.

I am more than sure that you will do what is necessary, whatever it is, and bring full-featured and clean product to your customers /that is why so many people are happy using your gallery/! Thanks again!!! :D
