Hi,

I want to use the function "send image" as an contact Formular.

My questions:

is it possible to lock the field "Your Friends E-Mail" and put my mail adress automaticly in this field?

The aim: the customer can use this form, i get the mail, provided with a link to the picture in oder to identify the pic. So far visitors use the contact form and i have allways the problem to identify the picture they are talking about.

Thanks

Not right away, I'm afraid. Ofcourse we could expand contact form somewhat and have "Send inquiry" or something, but we have a feeling there are too many options already and we're trying to make even less.

Maybe if we'll get more requests about this.

I am currently working on an ancestry gallery and am uploading very old pictures, documents, videos, etc., not only to display but also to invite visitors to help identify people, places and events. It would be good to have a simple way for them to be able contact me with file specific information. I envision the "Send Image" function being the best way to do that. I was looking for a way to do this by editing the "Send Image" form, adding my email address in the text and inviting the visitors to send me information and comments on the particular files. Searching the forum I came to the conclusion that it is not possible (for non-programmers such as myself) to edit the "send image" form that the visitors see. I would still very much appreciate this feature, but can work around it. In any case, I will keep the "Contact" form in the main menu only, for general gallery messages, and steer the visitors to use the "Send Image" button to discuss individual images and files.

... trying to keep it simple, fast, functional ... and interesting

What we could do as an easy fix, is add a reference to the file being browsed when the visitor uses the contact form. For example, you could add the contact button to either the imagebuttons(same as sendimage) or to the maincontrols, and then when visitor sends a message, you will also see a reference to the current file being viewed when receiving the email. Is that of interest?

For me the short answer is yes. I am not the one who started this thread, and I can't speak for others, but I would like to gather information about the pictures and other files in the gallery. This would be a step closer to making it as simple as possible for the visitors to send me this information, and their comments, which I can then add to the gallery.

thanks

Actually after adding link to image being viewed to contact form email all you need to do is change 'contact' to 'send your comment' in language.
