A Few questions

Hi,

I have x2 and it's really great but there are a couple things about the gallery menu that I want to tweak.

1. Is there a way to get rid of the number of picture in the brackets?
e.g Pictures1[15] not the description of the gallery. I was able to get rid of that.

2. How do I structure the folders in the order that I want them?
This has been making me bang my head against the wall lol.

3. How can I get rid of the Imagevue words on the title of my gallery and Imagevue software in the right click options?
I own the commercial license. No pun intended.

4. The main controls stay on top of my gallery menu when i click a folder and its goes into the thumbnails. It goes away after after I select a picture.

5. The thumbnails on the scroll bar look great and scale up perfectly, but the thumbnails you get when you click on a folder in the menu look terrible. I have them set to 100% quality. Is there something I'm missing?

I really do love this gallery and it saves a ton of time learning XML and other things.

Thank you for creating this.

Ron

You'll find a file named imagevue.css located in /imagevue/themes/THEMENAME/ (THEMENAME is the name of the theme you are using). Modify the .mainmenu_amount entry - I added display: none; to mine.

Take a look at the following forum arti ... agebuttons

This one is near and dear to my heart - check out my comment in the following post:

I'm not exactly sure where you are referring to - do you mean the URL or title of the page? If it's the title of the page, check out the sitetitle option on the Settings page.

As far as the right-click options, I believe the information can be found in the download section after you log in with your credentials.

The menu isn't going to disappear until AFTER you move your mouse away from it. For example, if you click on one of your folders and just move the mouse to the far right-hand side of the window you'll see that the menu will disappear without having to click on an image.

This one I can't answer, I'm sorry. I don't use this feature. Good Luck!

No no, I know that, what I mean is when i hover over the menu, it pops up like normal and that is working fine, but when I click one of my gallery's in the menu and the thumbnails appear, my main controls(the next and previous and toggle thumbnail buttons) appear above the gallery menu, and when I move the mouse away from it, they just fade out to the opacity level its on. But when i click on one of the thumbnails and go to a picture it goes away.

Thank you so much for taking the time to help me out.

This didn't work. It shows as:
.mainmenu_amount {
display: none;
}

But the number of pictures is still there next to the folder name.

Excellent. Worked like a charm. :)

I changed the sitetitle again to see but it still shows as Imagevue-sitetitle

The right click tweak worked. :)

Still can't figure out why the controls are staying above the gallery menu title.

I need to get these issue's resolved asap.

Thank you for helping me.

Actually all the tweaks did work. Not sure why it took the site a couple hours before the changes took effect. Could be server side.

The only thing left to fix for me is these controls,(waiting for a reply) and I can't get rid of the "Imagevue Gallery"in the sitetitle even after changing it to what I want.

Also, is there a way to make the thumbnails black and white and go to color on rollover?

I believe this is browser's cache, xml files which are requested by flash harder to refresh for some browsers (read: IE), try clearing browser's cache and then refresh.

Interesting suggestions about thumbnails, maybe we can implement something like that in future versions.

What about the sitetitle?

And is it possible to adjust the zoom states to stop on say the second zoom click?
I would like it to stop at the res/size the image is instead of going to big and distorting.

Old site title is cached, after you change it in admin, clear the cache.

Check this article about zoom states:

That still didn't work. I cleared the cache, I cleared the cache in my browsers and it just wont change.

I was able to edit the index.html file and change the title.

Now if I can get some help on getting these controls to stop appearing over my menu I'd be set.

Thank you

Ron

ok, well I just skimmed through all the posts here so forgive me if I am missing something ...

You have set the controls to appear at "IBM" meaning "Image Bottom Middle". This setting attaches the controls to the image, so if there is no image(like in your startpage), it will not be able to attach itself to an image and will just attach at 0,0. Why not just use "B" instead for "Bottom"?

Works perfect, thank you!

Looks like im done. The only question I have really is why are the same controls at the bottom of the thumbnails page when you can't use them to switch galleries?
