Gallery completely revised

16 Jul 2009, 09:16

My gallery has been completely revised. I am very pleased about compatibility after last update.
IE6-7-8, Firefox, Opera, Google-Chrome, SeaMonkey and Opera works fine now.
Again many thanks to the entire imagevuex2 team.

Your gallery really stands out, both in terms of your art, and also the theme customization!

I only have one suggestion which just was an idea - Make another CSS style for the "+ portfolio" folder menu link, so that it stands out more in the main menu. Perhaps white, instead of gray(like the others?). Right now, since there are so many textpages there, you don ´t really see at first glance that there is an important "portfolio" link there with photos. Some impatient users may not see the gallery before leaving the page ... Just a suggestion!
Code
.mainmenu_hasFolders{

New Year new look...

Hi all,

doing some modifications with gradient background simulates analog grain, additionally a little bit modify transparency of the textpages. Looks more meaty now, especially in full screen.

Thanks for visiting
Ever good light...

That new background looks great with your theme and photos!

Amazing textpages also (see profile)! Not sure how you did it with all the restrictions of flash textfields ...

For your "home" button, why dont you use an internal link like "#/content/home/" instead of hard-linking to the home page? That requires the entire page to reload, instead of just loading the startpage within the gallery.

How did you add the copyright text below the images in slideshow on start page?

@Geopal...thanks a lot George :)

@Karl...merci !
- i don`t use the internal editor for profile, its an external swf.

hard linking it`s an older prob Karl....i would change it immediately, if it works for me.

Please, see the thread below

forgot something...

- the copyright on startpage was a little bit tricky....so i simply put it under every image and stored both as .png with transparent background.
Manual work, but an easy solution for 5 pictures just once i a year.

Really liked your site and photographs, but did have two suggestions:

1. You've got some many photographs that it seems unlikely anyone would ever go through even half of them. Perhaps reduce the overall amount?
2. If someone did want to go through your photographs quickly, perhaps reducing the transition times a bit might be more effective? As it is now it felt a little painful to wait after I'd seen the first 10 photographs. Nice at first, but eventually I just wanted to see the next photograph, not the animation.

But this is just my two cents, hope it helps! Great site, really!

@Christopher

-1-> I think you are absolutely right, its time now, to clear sth. out.!
-2-> Transition time is one of this fineness i have no feeling for.:(
I will initially try to halve the transition time.

Many thanks for your opinion and suggestions Christopher !
