When I rotate an image instead of returning to the image edit page, it takes me back to the main "content" page requiring me to navigate back to the folder/image.

Hey, as I said this is not tried and true lossless jpg rotation. So don't abuse it. Actually maybe its better to disable it so we won't confuse people.

The only way to rotate jpg without recompressing it and preserving exif data is by using ImageMagick, maybe we'll actually implement it.

But this is sort of advanced feature, ImageMagick should be installed on your server and there are some config options etc.
