I think this makes locating things easier and quicker.
Thanks Moh - That ´s an intersting proposal. It ´s kinda like the new wordpress admin, which is very nice. We will take this into consideration.

Hey Karl, I know that your twittering comment was in jest but it really is not that bad an idea.
I "twitter" myself and find it an excellent way of keeping up with what's happening both in general news and the tech side of things. It's not all "i'm going for a shower" and "off to see a movie". It can be useful.

carter2: I have in fact added "imagevue" to twitter, but will have to consider how we can use it in any functional way for Imagevue.

anytime732: That ´s fine. I ´m sure plenty of users had the same thoughts on their minds.

Are you sure karl? Can't find you on there.

I would think a quick "imagevue version xx.xx has been released" or "tweets along those lines.
Im sure I saw a forum plugin for twitter that allowed you send a snippet from latest posts or something along those lines. Not sure if it was phpbb or vbulletin though :?

Got you now. I know that if you are a new twitter user it takes 48 hours before you show up in twitter search. Google and bing also gave no (twitter related) results for you.

Maybe another feature i would like to see. is an auto update function.
I'm not sure if this is possible, but you could include the user pass credentials and make an auto update button.

We been thinking of informing users about new version using some server check, so atleast we've thought of that. Not sure how soon it could be implemented though.

This would be a good solution as well.
This way at least everybody is informed of a new version and user keep up with updates.
This makes troubleshooting for you guys easier.

What about "Setting Templates"?

The ability to save all current setting variables as a template which can recalled at any time? We could change setting templates just as we would change a theme -;)

Examples:

Template 1:
- Galleries open directly to images
- Main Controls Off
- Image Close Button off
- Thumbnail Scroller ON
- Etc...(other settings)

Template 2:
- Galleries open to Thumbs
- Main Controls On
- Image Close Button On
- Thumbnail Scroller Off
- Etc...(other settings)

Too late, this is already in the plans! 8)

You will be able to create and maintain multiple config/settings files from the new admin. We may provide a few "pre-configured", and of course you can create your own. In addition, you will be able to apply config files in URLs, like yourgallery.com/?config=only_slideshow etc.

Ok...Lemme try again -;)

How About...

A function that allows Google Analytics and/or other similar codes to be saved in the settings.

Currently each time the software is updated we need to remember to edit templates to include the code.

perhaps it would be nice to create an option in the admin to upload/change the favicon for your site?

If I understood you correctly in another post, the guestbook will be implemented in the new admin too?

btw, if you need a "beta-tester", let me know :)
