Browser window size and incorrect number of thumbnail images

Imagevue X2.02. Firefox 3.08 (1280x1024, 1600x1200). Internet Explorer 6.0. (1600x1200)

1) Thumbnail pages doesn't correctly shows the number of images on some display resolution settings.

1600x1200. Browser window maximized.
For example, if I have 28 (resized, not cropped) images in the folder - it is shown only 25 (5x5) on the first page and other 3 images are lost. The second page - doesn't persist.
If I start to view them big - they are showed all 28.

1280x1024. Browser window maximized.
Same folder - 28 images. It is shown 20 (5x4) on the first page and 3 images on the second page. But 5 thumbnails are lost.

The same problem on another number of images...

If I change browser's window size (restore down) - gallery recalculates number of thumbnails correctly. The same if I open gallery with Firefox in new window without Tabs.

2) You can try to change window size and sometimes number of images will be shown correctly, but sometimes not all of them are shown on thumbnails.

In Your Demo gallery - if Gallery flash area size will be 780x740 (for example) - there will be shown not all 22 images, but 15 on first page and 2 on second. And 5 - lost.

I think there are invisible row on the first page.

sorry, i tried this again from my laptop and a friends computer and cant replicate this error.

In the link to our demo gallery you gave, I tried to resize the screen so that it showed 15 on first page (3x5), and then when I clicked to view "next" page, it showed the remaining 7 ...

Anyone else seeing the error described?

Hmm works fine here too, maybe you could provide some screenshots and link to the gallery where you see this problem?

Demo Gallery - More Galleries - High Tech (22)

For example...
Background size: 800x755 pixels. Total must be 22 photos. There are 15 photos on first page and only 2 on second. I think 5 left on first page, but they are invisible.

I tried again, and set the size as you suggest, and I see these two screens:

I can keep an eye on this. Obviously you might have hit some borderland glitch somehow ...

There are not same background size as I suggest (800x755 pixels). You tried on 840x697. Let's try resizing window to 800x755 background size.

Well, unfortunately my laptop doesnt allow a window content of 755 px so I will have to try on a bigger screen when I get there.

What screen size are you using? Why are you using some pixel-dimensioned stage that is not a native size for any browser running at full?

I use 1280x1024 screen resolution.

My Firefox uses 2 or 3 toolbars (it decreases background height) and on some gallery thumbnail pages number of images is incorrect. When I use only one toolbar, or without any toolbars - all is ok.

I tried to find problem with another resolution and window sizes. And on some background sizes there are same bug as I described in previous posts.

I will do some research on this ... Of course, it sounds like there may be a bug in some "marginal" dimensions where imagevue may be mis-calculating.

Thanks for your help!

@Karl,

it seems i could replicate the bug mic`s talking about.
Took two 19" widescreens, one OS, using parallel, resolution is 1366x768, native, on both.

For example i open one of my 1:2 galleries with 16 thumbs.

On the first hardcopy, on right screen OS is active, thats why you see just 8 pictures.
On the left one, without taskbar, you see 12 thumbs. Thats ok.

Image

The second hardcopy shows the next site of this gallery.
On the left screen you see 4 thumbs, adding the 12 from the first hardcopy are 16.
On the right screen there are also just 4, missing 4 thumbs now.

Image

...yep, it seems like marginal mis-calc...?

regards
~Uwe~
