Carbon Theme

10 Mar 2009, 14:16

Just curious why the new themes available for download do not work with X2 ? I have read in the forums that they are not compatible. Shame, I purchased this software because I liked that theme so much.

Are there future plans to have new working themes for X2.

Thank you.

I think maybe there are some misunderstandings here - The theme in mention "carbon" is an OLD template for Imagevue V1. We are now re-developing our website to avoid such confusion!

If you like those templates, then why not download Imagevue V1? It is available to all users in the downloads section, and already contains those themes!

The themes for X2(there are currently 6 created by us), are already provided in the Imagevue X2 download package. These are our newest themes.

I just installed X2 and am also surprised to find that the Carbon theme/template isn't available. I looked carefully at your site and went to the examples of templates and I didn't see anything that said they were only for V1. OK, it is what it is. What functionality does X2 have that V1 does not have? What would I lose by going to V1?

OK, I've learned enough that not having the Carbon template/theme isn't a problem. I've configured the default theme enough that it looks the way I want. Boy, this thing is has so may config items it's awesome.

Yes it has a lot of config items, probably too much. Some things are important, while some things simply are too much and lead to confusion.

There are zillions of advantages with Imagevue X2, more than I would like to mention, unless you want a full list ...

Thanks. I'll stick to X2. Those config items are great; of course I don't know all of them, but what I've looked for I've found.
