I am password protecting directories using .htpasswd technique.

this works fine for users.

but it's a bit annoying when using the admin pages.

when you go to admin>manage and select a password protected directory it asks for the user/pass to display the thumbnails. this is fine. but it asks you once for every thumbnail to be displayed. this is a pain.

one workaround is to enter user/pass once, and then reload the page. in this case you don't have to type in the user/pass for each thumbnail.

could this be fixed?

Unfortunately this is the best you can get, because it wasnt really meant to work this way.

To make it less annoying for admin you can try to protect /imagevue directory too and add login for imagevue admin so it gonna have password already entered.
