how can I set more than one background_image?
can I put 3 or 4 image (.jpg or .gif) on a folder theme and set an auto random change?

You can't set "random" background, but you will be able to set "random theme" in version 2.1 coming soon

As I understand it should be possible but I cannot see where we can configure this on your online demo admin version...

There is no "random background image", but you can set random theme. See our demo:
