After making a few changes on the Config page, I get the following error:

A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort this script?

Regardless of my answer, IE then proceeds to crash.

I suspect this issue may be related to folder permissions (???). My web hosting service does not allow permission modifications via FTP. So, I attempted to create a chmod script.

Also, my web service does not support .htacess files. Is that a problem?

Never seen that before ... What happens if you reset the original config file? I would need to see a link to your gallery, and find out what configuration changes you have made to see if it is related in any way.
