Can I use any swf for the background or beneath the gallery or pages and change it at will thru actionscript from the gallery menu by loading things into that level?

Yes you can use SWF as background, but not sure how you intend to control it from the main menu ... You could perhaps use ASfunction in <a> link, but I am not sure that is without flaws, especially when trying to access loaded SWF files.

My idea was to have the background be a photo and different for different pages or to have a button on the bottom to change the background. Any ideas?
