Hello together,
I uploaded the new X2 version (commercial licence). When I enter the site I get the following error message
-------------
Fatal error: Call to a member function tail() on a non-object in /is/htdocs/.../www/11_photo/imagevue/include/ivXmlParser.class.php on line 91
-------------
The server where my site is hosted is o.k. All script configurations are o.k.
What is to do...?
Thanks for helping
Best regards

Sorry, missed your post.
This server is protected with the Suhosin Patch 0.9.6.2
Copyright (c) 2006 Hardened-PHP Project
This suhosin is always causing troubles. Some stupid 'security suite' which does more bad than good it seems.
Hard to tell from here what is wrong on your server, but in any case gallery having troubles with suhosin, because it handles session incorrectly, there been few threads in forum on the subject. Best bet is to disable it for your folder using htaccess I think.

Could you please provide ftp login to take closer look?
Don't know what to do...

Can You help me?
Best regards

Hello Pain,
isn't there any solution for my problem? You wrote, that the problem is not caused by Suhosin. What should I do now. I still have the following error showed by the browser by entering my site:
Fatal error: Call to a member function tail() on a non-object in /is/htdocs/.../www/03_photo/imagevue/include/ivXmlParser.class.php on line 91
Best regards

I'm terribly sorry, somehow didn't checked your site yet.
And you know this is strange bug, never seen anything like it, it might be php xml parser bug, happened once, was some broken extension or something. Gonna investigate tomorrow. Couldn't fix it right away. :/
Sorry once again.

Heh, okay, after sleeping it over, I think everything is quite easy. File/folder permissions upset on your server, your support can fix then or you can do if you have that option in your sites' control panel.
Right now it's impossible to chmod those files from ftp. Or change into some directories, there is some messup.
Forward to support a request to repair permissions in your directory, set them to 666 or something.
Php just can't get to some of them files. Neither can I by using ftp.
Nothing changes

Hi Pain,
I hope I understood You right with my "small Englisch". I set the permissions like it is described on www.photo.gallery. Now I did some experiments with chmod (all folders an file to 666 oder 777) but nothing changes.
There were an other error message before I did that (maybe by changes You did). I deleted the folder an loaded up again - but nothing has changed.
I don't know, what to do... Didn't have problems like this. The other imagevuex version is excellent an easy to use. Is it possible that the reason why the new version doesn't work is, that the old version is still working on my site (although in an other folder)???
Thanks an best regards

Well, lemme explain again, look at this:
http://gerald-dunkel.de/03_photo/imagev ... config.xml
Files are not readable on your server and cannot be chmodded, email this link and error description to your server support, and ask them to fix permissions in your site. You can also include link to this thread.
I can't do that from ftp because it lacks some privileges on your server. Need root login to do that.
Think we should come to an end

Hi Pain,
also the support doesn't know what that means. The permissions of the config.xml are on 777. But nothing happened.
Thanks for helping, I thought working with that new script is as easy and funny like working with the old one. But I think it's better to delete it. Never had trouble like this with a script.
Ok, thanks again.
Best regards
Gerald
