X2 User Management Feature

28 Dec 2008, 16:11

Can you elaborate on this some?

1) Currently does the new version allow users to upload photos to certain folders created already for them by the Admin?

2) Are these photos then viewable by everyone (I would prefer so).

Basically what are the features of the user management system in greater detail.

Also, what is the price to upgrade??? Not sure what current version I have?

Thanks.

You can create accounts tied to only certain folder and it's subfolders.

Admin has access to all folders.

And photos will be viewable for everyone after upload.

Yes ... You can go to the "USER" section and create a new user that only has admin permissions within a specific subfolder.

I take it this functionality is disabled in the demo.

When I create a user, it doesn't get created and I can still all the folders.

I also created a new folder and it doesn't appear?

Just kinda curious what it looks like...from an "end user" perspective once I create them.

Are these disabled in the demo?

Thanks.

Yes they are disabled as this is GUEST user ... Just try to imagine what kinda problems we would be facing if we allowed any visitor to create folders and upload images in the demo.
