X2 Image Gallery UP

26 Dec 2008, 15:38

I have my new X2 image gallery up on my web site. It is not finished but I am sure as most things it will never be finished. All critique is welcome.

Your stunning nature photography and art speaks for itself!

A few comments:
# I feel the red color comes out a little too soft against the dark/gray color. Not a huge issue though, but perhaps another "organic" color (yellow-green) would be nice? Be look nice as contrast on your titles also.

# I see you have set thumbnails to keep their original aspect. I understand this is important to keep the original "motive" of the picture in tact, especially on landscape images. I do however feel that some of the "abstract" folders might benefit from a square/crop layout (looks nicer in gallery). For thumbnails, I don't think the original aspect of the image is as important as when the full image is loaded. It only needs to give a "taste" of what the original picture is about. I understand if you want to keep aspect integraity in your thumbnails though!

# There are no textpages in your gallery, I guess because it is not required - You have a home page anyway!
