Audio Player and "use_imagefolder"

17 Dec 2008, 11:39

I've some problem with the audioplayer:

I want to listen music just in one folder.
how can I do that??

I tryed with use_imagefolder but when is set true, and I'm seeing a folder wihtout music the audioplayer preloader will always tries to load mp3 .

And when I'm looking the folder with the music and I change folder, to anotherone without music, the music don't stop.

how can I do???

Well, since you have set your audioplayer to true and to load audio from use_imagefolder, it will always look for audio.

You want it to ONLY play music in your folder with mp3 and the others it stops by itself?

I will have to look into tweaking the code. This will also require that the code starts/stops the audioplayer based on if there are any tracks to play. In the meantime, you could put a lo-fi ambient loop in your "mp3" folder.

"Off" in all the other folder because I have video...

Set use_imagefolder to true, delete mp3 files everywhere except one folder where it will play.

Don't you think your visitors should have the concistency of either having or not having audio at your gallery? I mean, shouldn't you perhaps consider setting up a subtle track to be default for your other galleries also then?

Playing music in one folder and NOT playing music in another is a little out of scope.

but i have some video folder and when I start the video the audioplayer doesn't stop. so I don't want music on video folder.

so it will be a great think to have the option to enable the audioplayer just on some folder or disable on some other....
perhaps for the version 2.1??

Greg73 wrote:I would like the audioplayer works only with titles located in an image folder (or groupe folder) when the user open it. So I put the mp3 file in the right imagefolder, in the settings I have chosen the good path (in audioplayer then Path) , I checked "Use imagefolder", I haven't checked "autostart". But it doesn't work....
Furthermore I would like to enable the audioplayer to change the playlist as soon as the user check another imagefolder (or groupfolder). I have seen it was able to do that in the previous version, I would like to know how to configure it in the X2 version using the settings.
Thanks.
You can set "use_imagefolder", and imagevue will check each specific imagefolder as they are loaded if there exists any mp3 files so it will play different tracks/playlists per folder. Do you have a link to your gallery?

path under audio settings you mean? That to point to where it should load audio files, which comes to effect if you are using use_imagefolder also. If an imagefolder is empty, it may stil play audiotracks from the original path.
