Disable draggable start menu + different menu

#1: By an option in the config.ini one should be able to disable the ability to drag the menu, so disabling that and be able to enter coordinates by where the start menu is.

#2: Instead of the pulldown menu one could choose to have the entire menu (without submenus expanded) expanded in a rolldown window on the left or right of the thumbnail area.

Otherwise, thanks for an excellent gallery viewer 8)

It is allready possible to have an open menu when you start the gallery: set 'menuopen = true' in config.ini. See also: https://www.photo.gallery/support/docs/148

Yes of course, but I was thinking more of a menu list that is always open. At the moment the pulldown menu can be open at start etc, but instead of it pulling down over the gallery it could reside on the side as a list instead. Just an idea :)

i too think this is a novel idea. the ability to define coordinates where the gallery menu would reside is useful to me.

It can be hard to implement and still keep the clean style... I was experimenting with some ideas, but it's up to the developer to design it so it looks good... I am lousy at Photoshop, but I like to experiment....

But your idea about manually being able to define coordinates is excellent... and adding the ability to change the basic design of the menu would be the icing... Well, it's just ideas

Im happy to see all suggestions regarding the Imagevue main menu. However, I will have to state that there will not be much done with this item until new version next year. The good news is that it will be totallt revamped and flexible in terms of style, position, location and fonts.
