[Suggestion] Manual image sorting

The Artist in me would really like to re-arrange the order my photos are displayed so they look better. The default options are great but are not enough. I have seen some pretty cool flash tools before where you can drag and drop your photos in the order you want them.
Would this be possible?

We are already aware of the advantages of manual sorting, so we will be looking to provide an option for this in a later release. It will not be in the very-soon-to-come v.2.0 though ...

Hello!
I've found this (old) topic after searching for this, and was glad to hear that manual sorting is a feature that's going to me in future versions.
I was just wondering, if this feature is going to be released anytime soon
Any news about this?

It is something we will be working on with a new admin interface we have in the loop. More info here:

I cant give you any closer date yet, as we are still in planning phase, but we are talking months.

About the categories, though, I'm having some hard time re-ordering the items on the menu.
My root folder ("content") is set to "Name asc" sorting, but for some reason this doesn't affect the categories order on my menu, that still appears as the categories are ordered on the admin panel.
Here is the order (and names) of the categories:
01_portraits
03_weddings
06_about
04_nature
05_general
02_events
07_contact
Can this be fixed/changed somehow ?
The order of the categories is very important...
I was hoping to be able to manually change this order by editing "folderdata.xml", but I didn't find anything about this in there.. Is it saved somewhere else?

^^^ Never mind, I was able to change this myself
It's in the "Settings" tab. I changed "defaultSortFolders:" from "auto" to "na".
