no autohide menu in horizontal mode

Hi

I can not get the autohide function to work when i set the submenu_style to horizontal.

I want the "pop down" menu to go away (or pop up) when i click on a random place in the window or maybe when you move the mouse pointer away from the menu.

No there is no autohide for the horizontal menu.

Not sure why that is strictly required - The horizontal menu does not span into the screen like the vertical menu does. Also, not quite sure how it would work/animate.

The horizontal menu is farily simple for now, because its simply an adaptation of the vertical menu.

I really like the way the horizontal menu is behaving now. The first links are horizontal, and everything else that drops down is vertical. However, If I use multiple levels of folders, then while expanding the menu, it shows the buttons below the others that were already there.

In the vertical menu they slide nicely , but in the horizontal you get 'double buttons'. You can see this at hw-photo.nl/v2 if you click on gallery and then nature for example.

Is this a known bug, or a new one?

As stated in a separate topic when we released the "horizontal menu" adaption, there are several restrictions:
viewtopic.php?t=3668

Until we release an update to the horizontal menu, it is limited as described in the link above.

When to expect an update of the horizontal menu?

At the moment no auto collapse of the submenus is incorporated?

thanks!

Where do you want it to collapse?

the submenu (red circle) doesn't collapse (autohide) when viewing the thumbnails or big picture... When you have a long submenu this becomes a problem...

I'm going to have to look into the horizontal menu later after main 2.0 release. Until then, it is based on the vertical menu which doesn't collapse when you click a menu item ...

Ah , not the answer i was looking for but good to know it is "on the list" ;)
I have the problem as well, allthough i 'm using the vertical menu. But when you have a lot of chapters and people do'nt collapse them themselfs... it becomes a bit of a mess :?

Would love the auto-collapse at the same time with the auto hide feature :D :D :D

To be honest, I am not sure I understand your specific problem since you are using the vertical menu. Did you know that there is a setting in config close_same_level that closes other open menu levels when opening a new one? That would certainly be an option to keep it tidy!

I found the solution you mentioned  , works very well indeed.
Allthough i've spent a lot of time allready i will spend more time to fully understand and use all functions! It's a journey!! :D
