Is it possible to change the overall size of the text page? Mainly looking to increase the width... the default seems to be around 500 pixels wide. Was wondering how to increase the width and maybe decrease the height.

You can change the width, by going to admin -> themes -> edit your theme -> textpage.width - It's set to 500, and change it to what you like.
Height is not an attribute, because it scales to fit the content. However, there is a setting textpage.margin that decides the minimal margin between the textpage and the screen.
