Would it be possible to add the support of videos as background, like Vista does ?

I don't know if which amout of work it represent but i think it would be a nice addition

You could easily implement that by using a SWF as background. Unfortunately, imagevue does not "scale" the background to fit stage size, but technically it can be done.

Keep in mind it would be relatively CPU intensive taking away the speed in your gallery interaction.

I can imagine that it would be CPU intesive yes, but i'm thinking of something in really low quality, with a small loop, like 30 secs of video.

But if it can't be resized to the size of the site, then it won't be of any use i guess.

I don't know what you are saying with this part : "but technically it can be done" : are you talking about the SWF or SWF+Scale ?

I'm saying it can be done if we create a method for loading a background, and keeping it scaled to the viewers stage size.

By default, a background displays at its original size .... Just like it would in a HTML page. Like in our "default" theme, its simply a 30x500 px background that has been repeated horizontally aligned to top of screen.

With the "gardener" theme, its simply a large single file background that is aligned to center, and does not scale.

Well if you have some time to do that, i will buy your script for sure

I'm gona use the gallery as a nice flash CMS

The website is supposed to be only eye-candy with some informations.

So i think i will photoshop every thumbs and images to show some text and create a full website. (not sure if i'm explaining myself clearly)

With the MP3 player, the nice menu, the text pages, all the flash effects and the video background, i think i can do something really nice
