I've spent a lot of time on getting my website exactly how I want it = [. Is there any easy way to go about updating imagevue from a previous version without overwriting everything completely?

Such as where i've added all of my meta tags and all of the other work. Or maybe just suggest to wait for the final release and do it all then?

Thanks for the help guys

This is one of the main reasons we created the "beta usage terms" page here:
https://www.photo.gallery/v2docs/terms/ - To warn users that they are facing a little struggle in the beta phase if they want to maintain their customizations.

We are now working towards a solution which allows customizations to be saved in a separate "user" file. This will provide the advantage of being able to update V2 without loosing customizations as they will be kept in the "user" file.

So, that means there will still at least be one more update where you will have to "redo" your customization after upgrading - For this, there is only one suggestion: Keep a list of all your customizations, so you can easily re-apply them after upgrading.

How to upgrade?

What do you have to do to upgrade during this beta phase? i.e. Do you simply overwrite ALL files (except for the /content folder)? Is there a page or a thread that explains what to do? I don't seem able to find one at the moment.

Yes -

You can find some tips here:

Additionally, we are working towards an update that will make it easier to update while still maintaining configuration/theme changes.
