We use the native FLV player from Adobe, so I doubt it supports any new pseudo streaming 'techniques'. Perhaps something for us to look into though ...

Unfortunately, this is part of an external video controls skin source file. For general audience, we choose controls that would always be visible no matter colors in video. Besides, the controls autohide and only display on rolling over the video.

Documentation?

I'm looking to buy X2, but need to know about the Documentation included Specifically for doing a Video Page.

Where exactly is good step-by-step (if possible) documentation or help file or
similar for setting up a Videos Page with X2?

Thanks

There is not really any dedicated documentation for VIDEO in Imagevue. This is because it is pretty straight forward: Just like images in the gallery, you simply UPLOAD the videos to a folder, and they will display in the gallery.

There is only one main difference between video and images - Imagevue can not create thumbnails for your video files, so you will need to do that manually, or use the generic thumbnails like in our demo page:
https://www.photo.gallery/soda/#/content ... les/video/

You may want to read this in regards to creating thumbnails manually:
viewtopic.php?t=4243

Not sure if there is anything else to add ...

Hello, what is the maximum flv file size?

I just created an FLV file 14mb in size and was told its too big, when trying to upload.

And more importantly how can we change the limit in upload file size.

Is this determined through the software, or is this something we have to change at server level?

Look forward to hearing peeps feedback........

-- EDIT --

Will answer my own question, hopefully will help someone else out in future.

The problem is server side, specifically a setting in the php.ini file on a windows file server.

Need to change the config file to allow larger files to be uploaded

I tried this with the FLV the first time and created a corresponding thumbnail for it with the naming convention as mentioned above but this does not seem to work for me.

FLV: SNAPM-0309.flv
TBN: tn_SNAPM-0309.jpg

What am I missing?

This should work, could you post links to those files?

Hmm, not sure how it happened but for some reason it seemed to have overwritten my thumbnail with the default movie-thumb.

I re-did the thumbnail, uploaded it and it was working. I went into the admin, thinking that might have overwritten it but that seemed to keep it now as well. Anyhow, it's working...

Thanks!

It might overwrite custom thumbs if you click Recreate Thumbnails (vs Create missing ones)

I'm sure it would overwrite it with that function but I didn't use that. I think it happened because it was a new directory and the admin automatically starts creating thumbs when you browse into a new directory for the first time. My custom thumb was already in there, so it may have overwritten it the first time...
